I’m hoping to get back to regular blogging over the next few weeks (including our nursery reveal) but for now, with this face staring at me… I drift back into the world of motherhood. I look forward to catching up with you all very soon.

BABY SHOWER | PINK OR BLUE
As promised, I would like to share with you my baby shower photos, which was two weekends ago. Baby shower was styled and planned by me, along with the help of my sisters. I absolutely love turquoise, but with the gender of the baby a surprise, I put in baby pink to pair with turquoise details. I used these beautiful printables from Ontobaby, as I ran out of time to design my own. With a theme pink or blue, I created invites as well as food labels and thank you cards used on Revlon nail polishes in pink and blue which my guests took home
Wishes for the baby, was my absolutely favourite as I had a laugh reading them all and it is a beautiful memory from the day which I have put in the baby book
Baby showers was filled with much fun, laughter, food, family, friends, gifts, and let’s not forget- the games! It was a beautiful day spent with my closest family and friends I will cherish forever.
Printables: Ontobaby
Frames: Ikea
Pink or blue sign and confetti : Lovely Etsy stores PartyHQ & HeatherleasCrafts
Cake: Bellissimo Cakes
Catering: Prepared by me, my mum & mother in-law. My friends made some sweet treats: Lovely cake pops were by a friend Bojana who makes these for all special occasions, Cupcakes were made by my cousin Ana & Pink and blue lamingtons my friend Jelena made, they were all so yummy!
Things we Love: Lazy week
My first day of maternity leave I couldn’t be more thrilled as I’m very tired lately and any spare moment of laziness sounds blissful to me. Normally I’m always up to something, so this state of tiredness caused by the pregnancy falls hard on me – both mentally and physically. I’m having troubles accepting the fact that if I’m unable to run errands as I did before – it’s ok (and I should stop blaming myself for wanting to rest as much as possible). It’s a problem deep in my mind, so I have to work on that. I’m starting today, with this post of a lazy week ahead of doing nothing – just sleeping, going for long walks and eating yummy meals. Hope you have a good week!
It’s Friday. I’m in love.
Thank God it is friday! Another week is (almost) behind us, another weekend is awaiting to be enjoyed! Don’t you love Fridays?
This week has been a busy last week at work before I take my maternity leave. My last day at the office was a good one. My work colleagues spoilt me with a lovely morning tea, some presents and lots of thanks and hugs. A heart warming day… And being reminded I need to come back at some stage. The next chapter has begun… Life keeps the clocks ticking over, and we need to remember to enjoy the journey… Not just look forward to the destination.
Before signing off I wanted to give you a photo update on my pregnancy. Another reason is that I’m thinking to become a bit more personal with this blog, meaning that I might be sharing more bits of my life with all of you (there will be plenty of fun moments when the baby arrives and I want to share those joyful moments with you – my virtual family). Tomorrow is my baby shower, so make sure you look out for that post soon!

the little things | keeping resolutions
New Year to me it’s an opportunity to wipe my slate clean and start over with fresh ideas and renewed ambitions. I love having a plan — even if the plan falls through. However, I don’t think I’ve ever sat down and made a legitimate list of New Year’s Resolutions until now. Nowadays, it seems like more and more people are cynical about starting the new year with a set of goals, but I think it’s important to reflect on your strengths, weaknesses, dreams, ambitions, and take every occasion (even a cliché one, like a new year) to become a better, happier, and more effective person.
With that said, I’ve listed a few of my typical and not-so-typical resolutions for 2013!
Redesign and update my design website. Stop talking & start creating. I started this blog to show more of my own work which I have not got to yet and I really should just start.
Take more photos. Expand my creativity and better document both the incredible and mundane moments of my life.
Stress less. Accept that some things are out of my control, manage my time better, and realize that unmet expectations aren’t the end of the world.
Treat myself more often. Indulge in something nice once in a while. Stop letting the Internet distract me. For real.
Explore more. Travel more.
One goal, and probably one I’ll have for years to come, is to be present in the little things. My projects, emails, iphone, deadlines, keep me busy and days fly by before I feel like I’ve come up for air—missing all the little moments in between. The past month hpretty good, but I’m already feeling the to-dos and busyness taking hold. So, my questions to you are…
Are you making headway on your New Year’s resolutions?—and—How do you ensure you are enjoying each day’s little things?
Enjoy the little things. Moments. Life.
hello | welcome 2013
Hello! I’m back from my holiday break but oh no! Please forgive me! I’m not feeling very motivated to get back to work though I’ve heard I’m not alone… You too? Hopefully with this first post I’ll be feelin’ my flow again. I need to get back into the game! It’s time to get that energy back, focus and start planning ahead because this is going to be a very big year!
We’re almost through the first month of 2013. (It still seems so crazy to type 2013?!) I’m still thankful and excited to take on all the challenges and opportunities ahead of us with everything I have in mind and to try to make this year the best yet. I’d like to welcome you back to a new year of arhitektura+ and wish you all a very happy new year. I’ll be back in a moment with a new year resolution post. Stay tuned!
Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013 (a little reflecting)

Before I let you all go to grab a drink or two. . . There’s just one more personal thing I wanted to share with you.! I’ve touched slightly on the growth of Arhitektura+ and my professional growth this year, me being a registered architect now and how amazing it has been… Well there’s also another little growth happening on the personal front as well! I am talking about my belly and a new little life growing inside of me. That’s right my lovely followers I am 5 months pregnant. Can you believe it!? My husband and I are too excited for words! At first I was hesitant to share my personal news, but I am way too excited that I had to share it with you all and the day I found out I am going to be a mummy was very special. My whole world already feels different and I know once our little bub meets the world it will be very special and magical.
On that note, I wish you Extremely Happy Holidays and I hope that 2013 brings you every bit of happiness you desire and deserve. Can’t wait to see what 2013 will bring to us all.
With love,
Arhitektura+ xx
