Baby Shower | Decor Ideas
At a baby shower, fun is the name of the game. And it’s not always directed at the mummy to be! Baby showers are a great excuse for women to get together and although men aren’t exactly excluded, the truth is that these do tend to be women and girl centred events. My baby shower is fast aproaching, in fact this weekend is the big day. Below are a few of our favorite decor ideas and themes, though almost any craft or decor idea can be transformed into a shower idea in some fashion. Don’t be afraid to be different and throw a party and enjoy the company of your firends and savor the few moments before baby is here! This week we will be posting party theme ideas all week. Hope you enjoy it!
Friday. Im in Love
Seriously guys, is there a happier day than Friday? With the weekend ahead I am getting in a really happy mood. Whatever the plans – shopping, meeting friends, cinema, museum, blogging, or just relaxing and staying in – weekends inherit the power to boost and regenerate our energy and get us all ready for new adventures. Happy weekend, friends!

the little things | keeping resolutions
New Year to me it’s an opportunity to wipe my slate clean and start over with fresh ideas and renewed ambitions. I love having a plan — even if the plan falls through. However, I don’t think I’ve ever sat down and made a legitimate list of New Year’s Resolutions until now. Nowadays, it seems like more and more people are cynical about starting the new year with a set of goals, but I think it’s important to reflect on your strengths, weaknesses, dreams, ambitions, and take every occasion (even a cliché one, like a new year) to become a better, happier, and more effective person.
With that said, I’ve listed a few of my typical and not-so-typical resolutions for 2013!
Redesign and update my design website. Stop talking & start creating. I started this blog to show more of my own work which I have not got to yet and I really should just start.
Take more photos. Expand my creativity and better document both the incredible and mundane moments of my life.

Stress less. Accept that some things are out of my control, manage my time better, and realize that unmet expectations aren’t the end of the world.
Treat myself more often. Indulge in something nice once in a while. Stop letting the Internet distract me. For real.
Explore more. Travel more.
One goal, and probably one I’ll have for years to come, is to be present in the little things. My projects, emails, iphone, deadlines, keep me busy and days fly by before I feel like I’ve come up for air—missing all the little moments in between. The past month hpretty good, but I’m already feeling the to-dos and busyness taking hold. So, my questions to you are…
Are you making headway on your New Year’s resolutions?—and—How do you ensure you are enjoying each day’s little things?
Enjoy the little things. Moments. Life.
hello | welcome 2013

Hello! I’m back from my holiday break but oh no! Please forgive me! I’m not feeling very motivated to get back to work though I’ve heard I’m not alone… You too? Hopefully with this first post I’ll be feelin’ my flow again. I need to get back into the game! It’s time to get that energy back, focus and start planning ahead because this is going to be a very big year!
We’re almost through the first month of 2013. (It still seems so crazy to type 2013?!) I’m still thankful and excited to take on all the challenges and opportunities ahead of us with everything I have in mind and to try to make this year the best yet. I’d like to welcome you back to a new year of arhitektura+ and wish you all a very happy new year. I’ll be back in a moment with a new year resolution post. Stay tuned!
Quote of the week | Art Display
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” – Thomas Merton
I don’t know about you. . . but I missed my Quote of the week series and here they are back again. I love a well designed art wall. There are so many ways to display favorite prints, paintings and photographs. Here are just a few great examples of how to successfully pull off your own art wall!
BACK TO WORK
Are you ready for a new week? Well we are back, after a long deserved break. But I have good news to share I am now a registered architect, something I have been working towards this year and it has been very busy time, but well worth it now. Still very busy with work and life in general, this week will be all divided between a lighter work schedule and some quality time with my family. But not to worry, I’ll be around!
I think I’ll use this week for refocusing and refreshing as I get ready to dive back into blogging over next couple weeks! I’m so thankful and happy to be able to spend my days focusing on Arhitektura+ full-time again as I have so much to share with you. And, you know what that means – only bigger and better things to come around here! Can’t wait to get this party started.
Happy new week my loves! Let’s make it count.

Letter from a Mother to a Daughter ❤
Something I don’t usually post here, but I have seen this going around and it is very much worth a share! Mother to Daughter ❤
This is a repost from Spring in the Air
Letter from a Mother to a Daughter: “My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”… Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep. When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl? When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way… remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day… the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If I occasionaly lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you. And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don’t feel sad… just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you… my darling daughter.”
