travel: me hotel, london
It is coming up to 4 years since we last went to Europe & UK I can’t believe how time flies. Therefore, today I am dreaming of another holiday, escape to London. Located in a sought after region of London, at the southern tip of Covent Garden in London’s art, culture and design district, the ME London 5 star hotel surprises due to an original modern design. The contemporary accommodation unit was developed by Foster + Partners and features 157 guest rooms including 16 suites. The apartments located on the upper two levels come with access to spectacular terraces and extensive city views.
Peek inside: Megan Hess Wardrobe
The latest issue for the Australian based Adore Home magazine is not to be missed! The April/May issue features the stylish Melbourne home of Megan Hess, a fashion illustrator and author. Check out her chic fashion closet that I am envying at the moment. Check out her home which we blogged about here in yesterday’s post.
interiors: megan hess home
Megan Hass Melbourne’s fashion illustrator shares her home with her husband, architect Craig Yelland and their two children. Their penthouse is located on the roof of an 18th century church. The renovation saw the exterior preserved with the interior gutted, allowing Megan and Craig to start from skratch. I love how she kept the base neutral which means you can completly change the mood with art and furnishings. Stay tuned as we peek inside her wardrobe, which she says is her favorite room in the house ‘It’s my happy place’. Check out her illustrations we blogged about in our yesterday’s post here.
art: dallas shaw fashion illustrations
I am absolutely delighted to share with you the work of my favorite fashion artist Dallas Shaw. This ultra talented artist is the go to illustrator for the fashion world’s most style savvy insiders like DKNY’s PR Girl, The Bag Snob Ladies, and Rent the Runway, just to name a few. Take a look at just a small sampling of her work – a breath of fresh air, I say! We blogged about her beautiful feminine design studio here before check it out.

BABY SHOWER | PINK OR BLUE
As promised, I would like to share with you my baby shower photos, which was two weekends ago. Baby shower was styled and planned by me, along with the help of my sisters. I absolutely love turquoise, but with the gender of the baby a surprise, I put in baby pink to pair with turquoise details. I used these beautiful printables from Ontobaby, as I ran out of time to design my own. With a theme pink or blue, I created invites as well as food labels and thank you cards used on Revlon nail polishes in pink and blue which my guests took home
Wishes for the baby, was my absolutely favourite as I had a laugh reading them all and it is a beautiful memory from the day which I have put in the baby book
Baby showers was filled with much fun, laughter, food, family, friends, gifts, and let’s not forget- the games! It was a beautiful day spent with my closest family and friends I will cherish forever.

Currently Crushing: Lucite
The definition of Lucite is a material used for an acrylic resin or plastic consisting essentially of polymerized methyl methacrylate. That said, Lucite was once associated and well known with the decor the Hollywood Regency Era. Yet the timeless style of Lucite continues today. How stylish and diverse the Lucite offerings are today! Here is a collection of what inspired me the most today for currently crushing post.

Interiors: Decorating with Grey
I think a lot of us may shy away from grey, associating it with being dull, however, it is a colour that is far from dull if the correct tones and accents are chosen correctly as can be seen in the collages I have put together below. What is important is the “tone” of grey we choose for our interiors. The lightest tone of grey on walls still allows a feeling of spaciousness and can brighten a dark room, dark grey on a wall, however, may become oppressive. If dark grey is used on one wall alone, for example behind a bed, it can evoke a wonderful feeling of drama and romance. More grey inspiration in yesterday’s post.
