British designer Donna Wilson’s House Throw Play Den blanket is woven with strategically placed ‘windows’ and ‘doors’ to depict a house. When it’s not being used as a cubby, the pure lambswool blanket is equally lovely on a bed. I love this simple idea.
Being an architect myself my kid must have these simple Bauhaus Bauspiel Building Blocks. Designed by Alma Siedhoff-Buscher during her training at the Bauhaus in the early 1920s, the Bauspiel blocks represent the Bauhaus school’s philosophy of creating toys meant to stimulate inventiveness, joy and imagination in children.

With the help of designer Don Stewart, the singer-songwriter and his fiancée, Christine Teigen, fulfill their fantasy of indoor-outdoor living. A sophisticated update of midcentury modernism, the residence reflects the spirit of a young couple putting their own distinctive spin on gracious California living. “Our style is chic and tailored but also earthy and casual,” Legend says. “Since this is our first home in Los Angeles, we wanted it to feel right not only for us but also for this city.”
With the burst of autumn weather that’s coming to Sydney, my autumn fever is even more apparent! I am in love with these Johnny Cheuk fashion illustrations. Johnny is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Hong Kong. With a background in digital media, Johnny experiments with a mix of traditional and cutting edge media materials to create his art, blending computer graphics with watercolor and pen and ink to explore creative possibilities and express his unique style. I wouldn’t mind one of these cute paintings in my office space, you can view more of his work here.
I’m proud to present one of my blogger friends’ efforts here and invite you to see some awesome work by Belgrade Streets photography. I invited Andy to answer a few questions about his work that I have been following on his blog. I found it hard to pick my favorite photo on his blog so here is a couple I have chosen that I think sums up Belgrade Streets so well. A fresh, personal view of the city that is completely honest, and confounding to much of Serbia’s reputation. Great to see photographers, under their own motivation, creating their own work under their own voice, and finding ways to get it seen on their terms. I’m looking forward to seeing more from this photographer. Here is 10 @ 10 with Andy.
